Chess Champion triumps again

Bodhana Sivanandan from St John Fisher School continues to break Chess records.
At the European Club Cup held in Greece Bodhana went on to, yet again, display her amazing skills as a Chess champion. This time she triumphed over the former Women's title holder Grandmaster Mariya Muzychuk from Ukraine
Congratulations to Bodhana who is well on the way to becoming a Grandmaster of the future. This builds on her recent successes where she became the youngest ever player to beat a grandmaster when she triumphed over 60 year old Peter Wells in the British championship. She also is the youngest person ever to represent her country in any sport when she was selected for the England’s women’s team at the Chess Olympiad in Hungary.
Bodhana only took up chess in lockdown. This shows with determination, resilience and practice how much each young person can achieve. Well done to Bodhana and good luck for future triumps.
