Youngest ever Chess 'Woman International Master'

A pupil from the Blessed Holy Family Catholic Academy trust has again been shattering the record books and the glass ceiling for women.  This summer saw Bodhana Sivanandan from St John Fisher Primary School in Pinner gain the title ‘Woman International Master’ in the international world of chess.  She is the youngest girl in history to achieve this title.  This builds upon her role as the youngest person ever to represent England internationally in any sport, which she achieved in 2024.  This latest award came after she beat the 60-year-old chess grandmaster, Peter Wells, in the British Chess championship.  Well done to Bodhana and the example she has set by always aiming high and never allowing a ceiling to be set for you in this male-dominated sport.  I am sure the title of grandmaster is well within your sights.
