As the new season of Spring 2019 heralds change and renewal the message from our four schools is also about change as the 1^st May is the exciting day when our new Catholic Academy Trust opens.  

St. John Fisher Catholic Primary School, St George’s Catholic Primary School, St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School and The Sacred Heart Language College joined together in a special celebration Mass of community led by Bishop John Wilson.

This special celebration saw pupils, staff, parents, governors, local authority and Diocesan representatives join with the newly formed Trust Board to make a commitment to the future of Catholic education.  It was a wonderful testament to collaboration as the pupils form each school led us in fine voice with some of their favourite hymns.

Bishop John Wilson then blessed and presented each of the Headteachers and a pupil representative with a special plaque of the Holy Family to mark the day which will be placed in each school.

After the celebration all gathered to share refreshments where Bishop John was called upon to cut our celebratory cake, ably assisted by some keen pupils who managed to resist the temptation to dive straight in.
