Pupil Learning Conference 28th March 2025

‘Pilgrims of Hope’ - our Pupil Learning Conference deepening our Faith
28th March 2025
The 28th March was a special day where pupils across the Blessed Holy Family Catholic Academy Trust came together to lead a conference on developing their Catholic ethos and enriching the life of their schools in this jubilee year where we are called upon to be ‘Pilgrims of Hope’. After our key note address by senior students from The Sacred Heart each school presented on different aspects of their work as pupil leads. These included workshops on developing liturgy and prayer, putting our faith into action and guided meditation.
Pupils then came together to write and give an inaugural performance of our new trust hymn ‘Our Spirits to Fly’. The chorus of which reflects the strength of collaboration across our family of schools and our mission where all are called to aim high and to do God’s service.
‘All together we stand, united in light,
Faith, hope, and love guide us by day and by night.
With hearts full of joy and minds set on high,
We seek You, O God, with our spirits to fly.’
As pupils prepared to leave they each wrote a commitment to respond to the calling to be true ‘Pilgrims of Hope’. The messages to live their faith were truly uplifting.
This was a wonderful and inspiring day led by our pupils across St George’s, St John Fisher, St Joseph’s and the Sacred Heart Language College. We can’t wait until next year’s pupil conference.
